The treatment of serious health-related suffering (SHS).

Kodiyathur Pain and Palliative Association which is in the field of voluntary activities since 2009 has attained good recognition among the public by caring and helping the needy sick people and their dependents.

During the last thirteen years 1000 + patients are given total care by this voluntary unit.

Why is Palliative Care relevant?

Like in most low-income or lower middle-income countries, the need for palliative care
is greater in India than in the west simply because disease-specific treatment
does not reach patients adequately or early enough.
